That is, it is not obligatory for the traveler, except that he must make up what he broke his fast due to travel, and the ruling does not differ depending on the means of travel, and the scholars stipulated that breaking the fast while traveling must be permissible.

Whoever travels for the sake of sin, it is not permissible for him to concede breaking the fast, as it is stipulated that the travel distance should be approximately eighty kilometers. The traveler begins to break his fast by intending to travel and to leave the country. If the traveler is able to fast without hardship for him, then it is better for him to fast.

But if there is a possibility that there will be It is a hardship for him that he can bear, so it is better to break his fast according to the consensus of scholars, but if fasting is a great and severe hardship for him that he cannot bear and it may cause him harm or death, then fasting is forbidden for him, and he must break his fast.

Knowledge of the necessity of fasting during Ramadan

The Hanafi school of thought is unique among other scholars in stipulating “knowledge of the obligation of fasting during Ramadan.” An example of this is a Muslim who grew up in a country other than a Muslim country, and did not acquire knowledge of the obligation of fasting.

Whether it is obligatory or voluntary; As it was proven in Sahih Al-Bukhari that the Messenger – peace and blessings be upon him – said: (Actions are but by intentions), and it is required that the intention be made overnight by consensus of scholars; 

As she narrated it on the authority of Aisha – may Allah be pleased with her -: (Whoever does not spend the night fasting before dawn comes, there is no fasting for him)
