Islamic studies for kids are essential to instill the love of Islam teaching and practices in your children’s hearts and to strengthen their faith.

Raising a Muslim child in a non-Muslim country is difficult. As a parent, you must instill the love of Islam in your kids’ hearts and educate them on what Islam is and what it means to be a Muslim. There are online schools that specialize in Islam study for kids, to help them acquire the knowledge they need and learn more about the pillars of Islam and more.

What is Islamic study for kids is essential, what does it mean and how can you teach it to your little child in a simple way? Let’s find out.

Why are Islamic studies for kids important?

Because the world is changing and everyone may have everything they want, it is critical to teach your children about Islam and its principles from an early age so that they can distinguish between what is right and what is bad, otherwise, they may stray from the correct path. That’s what makes Islamic studies for kids from a young age essential, especially when living in a non-Muslim country.

Islamic studies attempt to teach children about Islam’s beliefs, concepts, and ethics. When a child learns about Islam’s principles and values at an early age, he is less vulnerable to life’s hurdles and trials and instead develops a firm understanding of his faith.

It’s difficult to be a Muslim in a non-Muslim country, with people mocking your beliefs, questioning your every move, and attempting to break you down. However, having a clear grasp of your faith might help you overcome these issues and not be harmed by them. As a result, enrolling your child in an Islamic study course is critical. Empower your children with Islamic teachings, morals, and the actual meaning of Islam.

Islamic studies teach kids how to be good Muslims by following the teachings of the Quran and our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Educates them on the prophet’s companions and how they lived their lives. The holy Quran’s instruction will teach your child how to conduct his life correctly, despite of the trials and obstacles he may face.

Furthermore, by teaching your children about the prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) life, they will obtain valuable attributes such as kindness, compassion, honesty, and other positive traits.

How to teach Islamic studies to your kids?

Islamic studies for kids are essential, but how can you teach it to your children at home? First of all, you must make it simple and entertaining. Read to them the prophet’s stories from the holy Quran, for example, and tell them about the benefits of reciting the Quran regularly, such as how it draws them closer to Allah and guides them in their life. You may read one of the surahs to them and then discuss its meaning and lessons with them.

Additionally, educate your children on the value of prayer, make them pray with you, and demonstrate how to do so. Teach children about the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and how kind he was to his people. They will discover the positive characteristics of a Muslim from the story of the prophet.

How to teach Islamic studies to your kids step by step?

Teach children to adore Allah and the Quran, as well as the life and kindness of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Enroll them in an online Islamic study course to learn how to correctly recite the Quran. Show them that you love and care about them, and that no matter what they do, you will always be proud of them.

Children want to feel their parents’ love, and if you take it away from them, they will do anything to make you mad or angry in order to get your attention. Spend as much time as possible with your child and show him or her how much you care. Here are some of the things that you need to teach your child:

1- Teach children to always be kind and to say things that make others happy.

2- Teach the kid about Allah and the Prophets.

3- Teach them that there is no God except Allah, and Muhammad is Allah’s Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). And tell them what it means to send prayers upon the prophet and why it is important to say it. This will teach children that there is only one God, Allah and that we must worship him.

4- Teach the child about heaven and the importance of worshiping Allah.

5- Tell them about all of Allah’s blessings that he gave us. Also, inform them that Allah has 99 names and assist them in memorizing all of them in an entertaining way.

6 – Be a role model and teacher to your children: children mimic what they see, so if you want them to do what you tell them, show them that you do the same. For instance, if you want children to read, read in front of them, and they will do the same. So, to encourage children, educate them that they must pray five times a day and have them pray with you. That is an essential step to make Islamic studies for kids easy to understand.

7- Teach children to recite the Holy Quran on a daily basis and encourage them to memorize as much as they can. Tell them how important it is to read the Quran and how it leads us through our lives. Assist them in comprehending the significance of each verse and surah. You can enroll them in online Quran classes to teach them how to recite the Quran and comprehend its verses.

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) said: “Observe justice in dealing with your children in the same manner in which you expect them to observe justice in being kind and good to you.”

As a Muslim parent, it is your responsibility to develop a love of Islam in your child’s heart, as well as to teach them Islamic beliefs and values. Because we understand that it may be difficult at first, here is how you can teach Islamic studies to your kids in a simple way.

1. Act as a role model.

It’s crucial to remember that children mimic what they see, so if you want them to do something, show them that you do it as well. Think about it: that’s how we learned everything we know today. For example, we learned to pray by observing our parents pray and imitating them. We did the same when we saw our parents reciting the Quran. Islamic Studies for kids can be made simple by being a role model and assisting them in acquiring the necessary knowledge.

2. Learn Islamic study so that you can properly teach it.

The next step is to learn about Islam studies, comprehend what it is to be a true Muslim, conduct good deeds, and incorporate the Quran and Adkhar into your daily routine. Remember you can learn anything you want regardless of your age. And you will comprehend as you continue to learn new things about the Islamic religion while teaching your children.

When your children witness how you spend your days understanding and learning Islam, they will want to do the same. Furthermore, Islamic studies is a vast ocean, and in order to be a successful teacher, you must expand your knowledge. You can do this by reading some of the best Islamic books, such as books by scholars, watching YouTube videos, and listening to the scholar’s lessons, you can find anything you want online, so don’t worry about anything, so you don’t have to worry about that. That’s a way of teaching Islamic studies to kids.

3. Make Islamic studies enjoyable for your children.

Children love visuals and images, which help the knowledge stick in their minds; there are several Islamic studies for kids books designed specifically for children to make studying interesting.

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), said:

“Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. People do not gather in the houses of Allah, reciting the book of Allah and studying it together, but that tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will cover them, angels will surround them, and Allah will mention them to those near him.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2699, Grade: Sahih]

4. Use crafts to make studying more enjoyable.

Explain the teachings with handcrafts, such as drawing to explain Islamic studies for kids in an entertaining way and utilizing your imagination.

5. Read aloud to your kid.

Make time every day to read Islamic studies for kids books, sit with your child and read to him, and explain anything that appears difficult for him/her to understand.
