2. Alif in the Medial of the word.

How is the alif Alphabet in Arabic written when it comes in the Medial of a word? when it comes in the medial of a word you should write it as ‘ـا’ or ‘ا’ if not connected, here are some examples.

 Here is an example of the Alif letter when it is not connected.

3. Alif alphabet Arabic at the end of the word.

When the Alif Alphabet Arabic is written at the end of the word it would look like ‘ا’ or ‘ـا’ based on the word.

Alif with fatha, Damaa and kasra.

The Alif Alphabet in the Arabic language can change its pronunciation based on what is called harakat. The harakat are divided into fatha, Damaa and kasra.

The Fatha is represented by a dash written above the letter, and a Hamza is written above the letter alif as well. It will look like “أَ”  and it will be pronounced like the letter “a”.

Alif with damma.

The damma looks like the Arabic letter “waw و“ and it is written above the letter, and a Hamza is written above the letter alif as well. It will look like “أُ” and it will be pronounced like the letter “o”.

Alif with kasra.

The Fatha is represented by a dash written below the letter, and a Hamza is written below the letter alif as well. It will look like “إ” and it will be pronounced like the letter “i”.
